Aldosterone and angiotensin II modulate the renal regulation of blood pressure, in part, by
regulating pendrin-mediated chloride absorption and the epithelial sodium channel-
mediated sodium absorption. Pendrin also modulates stimulation of the epithelial sodium
channel by aldosterone.
